2010 World Record Attempt

Teach AfricaMy 2010 world record attempt is to run from John O’groat to Lands End in under 9 days and 2 hours which is the current record set back in 2002. Thats about 850 miles, 33 marathons back to back all within 9 days… My toughest challenge to date!!!!!

Well there is about 6 months to go. While nothing is set in stone yet the wheels are turning to make this a success.

Latest news is that Buff Wear have become an official sponsor and will be helping with Buff wear for my training and attempt. I’ve been wearing one for about a year now and use it mainly to keep my neck warm, it surprised me how comfortable and warmer I felt using it in this fashion. I’m looking forward to trying out the other styles as I’m sure they are going to help on the long journey across the country.

This challenge is going to require a huge team effort and with any attempt of this nature funding is often the key to success. We’re currently looking for a main sponsor to assist with this which is just as hard work as running. The wheels are turning though and I hope to find out soon if this is definitely going ahead on the 1st of November.

I’m confident it will and with Steve Adams from Go Beyond Ultra leading the way I have  fantastic support so I’m looking forward to the challenge and to raising money and awareness for teach Africa.
