Fisherman’s Friend Strongman

The Nurburgring Nordschleife Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run

News

Team GB met for the first time on Saturday 14th April 2012, plodding my way to London after a 12 hour late shift at work finishing at 4 am I was up and in London by 10:30 and meeting the team and Fisherman’s friends team. A great bunch of guys, Paul Alexander, Christhoper Brisley, Stuart Amory, Luke Knapp and of course Stephen Keywood. That’s the fine bunch of us above in the photo.

There are some other team members and we will all be meeting at Stanstead on Friday 4th of May ( God I hope my passport arrives this week )

I am really pleased, proud and excited to be both representing as a Fisherman’s Friends representative and also Team GB member for the event. I’ve not done any obstacle type courses since being in the Army. Its gonna be EPIC !!! I’m really looking forward to the event, I don’t think its going to be an event where i’m up the front as there will be over 12000 other people present, some in fancy dress, some going hard and others probably just being mental and enjoying the day. I will indeed be pushing myself all around the course and looking forward to finishing the event with the rest of Team GB.

Then after all the mud, mahem, electric wires, fire and cold cold water I will catch my breath and hopefully enjoy a sociable beer with all of Team GB and the Fisherman’s Friends team.

Have I said ” God I hope my passport arrives” !!!!
